CreditEnable_e-PAN

When you apply for an SME loan, you must submit your PAN card (or e-PAN card) and company PAN card, if applicable. These are important identifications that lenders require to conduct your credit assessment when deciding whether to lend to you or not.

When you are submitting your PAN card to the lender, you can either give them a scanned colour copy (or photo) of it, or you can submit your e-PAN card. To download your e-PAN online, you can either use the NSDL portal or the UTIITSL portal.

What is a PAN?

A Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a ten-digit unique alphanumeric identification number issued by the Income Tax Department. Every individual and corporate taxpayer doing business in India must have a PAN.

What is an e-PAN Card?

An e-PAN card is a digitally signed PAN card that is issued electronically. Your e-PAN card is accepted as valid proof of allotment of PAN.

How can I download my e-PAN card online using the NSDL portal?

Using the NSDL Portal, you can download a PAN that was allotted in the last 30 days, and PAN cards allotted more than 30 days ago.

Note: If your PAN application was submitted to NSDL e-Gov where PAN was allotted or changes were confirmed by ITD within the last 30 days, the e-PAN card can be downloaded for free, three times.
